Sophia Romero Receives Academic Award from ENMU NPC

Sophia Romero of Rio Rancho, NM, received an academic award from Eastern New Mexico University's National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) during the "Scholarship Stars" academic ceremony in the Becky Sharp Auditorium in ENMU-Portales' College of Business on April 9.

NPC, which promotes and coordinates the interests of women's fraternities, hosts a scholarship banquet every semester to honor members who have had academic success. The spring 2015 banquet, titled "Scholarship Stars," was Academy Award ceremony-themed. Award-winners were encouraged to wear their "best red carpet look" to the semi-formal event.

Eastern New Mexico University, a state institution offering 91 associate, bachelor and master degree options, serves students from around the world. Courses are offered on-campus and online.
