ENMU Partners with RaiseMe to Help Make College Accessible for Out-of-State Students

ENMU Joins Social Enterprise Program to Motivate Students and Provide a Clearer Pathway to Higher Education

Portales, NM (09/10/2018) — Eastern New Mexico University is excited to announce a new scholarship program in partnership with RaiseMe, focused on expanding access to higher education by making scholarships more accessible and transparent for out-of-state students.

Starting as early as ninth grade, out-of-state students now have the opportunity to earn micro-scholarships from ENMU for a wide range of activities including getting good grades, volunteering in the community and participating in extracurricular activities.

Together, ENMU and RaiseMe are dedicated to creating new opportunities for students by enabling them to earn scholarship dollars during their high school career and learn about the kinds of behaviors that will empower them to be successful students in high school, college and beyond.

"We are excited to be part of the RaiseMe family," said Dr. Jeff Elwell, chancellor of the ENMU system. "I think the platform will help us get the attention of students around the country who are looking for the type of education we provide."
