ENMU Hosting Summer Theatre Arts and Drama Academy
For Junior High and High School Students
Portales, NM (04/11/2017) — The Department of Theatre and Digital Filmmaking in Eastern New Mexico University's College of Fine Arts is hosting a Theatre Arts and Drama Academy for high school and junior high students in June.
High school students will stay, eat and learn on campus from June 18-22. There will be a day camp for junior high students from June 26-29.
The cost is $250 for resident campers, which includes housing and meals, $220 for commuters, which includes meals, and $195 for junior high students, which includes lunches.
Patrick McCreary, academy founder and lead teacher, has spent 42 years in the entertainment industry, internationally, onstage, in television and on film. He is an equity actor, director, producer, playwright, choreographer, designer, singer and stage combatant. He holds a B.A. and an M.F.A. in theatre, including 15 years of college teaching.
